I’m dealing with a bit of a tire dilemma for my BMW i5 M60 with 21" wheels. Living in Colorado, I need all-season tires, but options are super limited. Considering either sticking with the 21s and going for a square setup with lower load index tires or switching to OEM 19” wheels to expand my tire choices. Or, should I just go with separate winter and summer tires, even though that’s more upkeep?

Anyone else run into this and have advice? Curious if anyone’s made a similar switch and has feedback on ride quality or practicality. Thanks! 😅

The model I have is a 20-inch one, which was originally equipped with all-season tires and features wider tires at the back, similar to the 2.

I think you should consider switching to 19" wheels for more all-season tire options, or stick with the 21" and go for a square setup. If you can manage the upkeep, separate winter and summer tires might provide the best performance.

In my opinion, dedicated tires are better. Personally, I feel safer when I use winter tires in winter.
