BMW and Toyota are joining forces on hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). BMW is planning to roll out its first hydrogen-powered production model by 2028. It’s gonna be cool to see two names in the world teaming up to push this technology. Hydrogen seems like it could really shake things up, especially for people who want an alternative to battery electric vehicles, and it's pretty awesome that BMW’s future FCEVs will still keep that classic BMW feel.

From what I’ve read, the companies will develop a shared fuel cell powertrain that’s flexible enough for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. things like more hydrogen refueling infrastructure and creating a sustainable hydrogen supply chain. Maybe that should help hydrogen tech become more practical and accessible. What do you all think about this shift towards hydrogen FCEVs? Would you consider going hydrogen?

This is an exciting shift! Hydrogen could definitely offer more range and faster refueling compared to traditional EVs. I think it’s great that BMW and Toyota are teaming up to push the technology forward. I’d consider hydrogen if infrastructure improves.

It's cool that BMW and Toyota are teaming up for hydrogen cars. Hydrogen could be a good option for long trips and big trucks. But we need more hydrogen stations and a better way to make hydrogen. I'm curious to see what BMW does with hydrogen cars.
