CarPlay Disconnected - VPN Issue

Hey yall!

I was having a bit of a headache with CarPlay on my new i5. Turns out my iPhone's VPN was messing things up. As soon as I turned off the VPN, CarPlay started working perfectly. Anyone else run into this? On the flip side, I’m seriously loving the new ride. It’s a total vibe!

Disable network protection.

You can find it by going to the Network Protection under Settings, in the Options main Menu.
Toggle off Block internet when unable to connect or reconnect to VPN.

Let me know if it worked.

Just wanted to share my VPN experience. When I had my i4 and i5, I used a paid VPN app on my iPhone. When I upgraded to the i5, I kept using the same VPN on my phone, and you know what? I never had any problems with CarPlay or Android Auto while using it, everything just worked! So which VPN are you talking about?

Oh, that’s cool! I was using a free VPN, so that might explain the issues. It was probably just bogged down or something. I might need to upgrade if it means I can actually connect without all the fuss!
