Planning to buy an i5 soon and I was wondering if anyone else had trouble charging with DC chargers after multiple sessions? Have you ever been unable to charge at more than 30 kW without using an AC charger? If so, could you please share your experience?

I did a road trip with our i5 and hit up a bunch of EA stations - charged it a bunch of times, mostly using those 150 kW DC chargers. Honestly, I didn’t notice any change in the charging rate. Most of the time, I was hitting my charge target in about 30 minutes. No gripes from me!

The kW of the charger is mean to make a difference in the charging rate. or is there something I am missing here. I noticed mine charges faster with a 150kw charger.

People are saying the i4 slows down DC charging for about a day after use, and I kinda noticed that during my year with it. But even if that’s true for the i4 or i5, claiming that cars like the i4, i5, and i7 are stuck at 30 kW unless there’s an emergency is just off. Sounds more like a rumor than fact, uunless ofcourse if anyone prove it happens regularly.
