Hi everyone.

I've got a 500GB external hard drive formatted as FAT32. I use it to play music in my car. Will it work if I format it as NTFS?

I think it won't! Most car audio systems are designed to read FAT32-formatted drivers. Why don't you just go for a USB stick? It is more practical and you don't need auxiliary cables and racks like you need for the external hard drive. Also, a 500GB USB stick is easy to find nowadays. And if you think it is too expensive, buy one with a smaller memory. I mean, I don't think you are going to listen 500GB of music during a trip, haha!

Are people still using external drivers and USB sticks nowadays? I mean, applications like YT or Spotify are enough and don't require such a hassle. So, is there any specific reason why are you "stuck" to the old ways? 😅
