I am confused about summer tires on the new i5

We’re replacing our i4 with a new i5 soon, but I’m puzzled why BMW equips so many i5s with summer tires, even in snowy areas. Checking online, only 19” summer tires are offered. So I am wondering, will we need to swap them for all-season or winter tires right away? Am I missing something about summer tires?

I like to keep them separated. So, I would recommend you to take winter tires, too.

I agree, having winter tires seems like a good idea. I’ll look into swapping them out for better traction.
