Just had my first go with the Magic Dock at a Tesla Supercharger and I’ve gotta say, I’m pretty impressed! Hooking it up was a breeze, and the charging speed was pretty solid - got a good charge in no time. The only hiccup was that the charging rate seemed to slow down a bit at the end. Anyone else given it a shot? Got any pro tips for getting the most juice? Also, any word on whether BMW is gonna start showing Magic Dock Superchargers on their maps?

I've been using the Magic Dock for a while now, and I've had a pretty good experience too.

Just remember that it's not always going to charge at top speed, especially if you're starting with a low battery.
It's usually around 20-30 minutes from 20-30% to 80%.

I personally don't mind waiting, but if it's a big deal for you, make sure to plan your trips accordingly.

BMW intends to update its maps to include Tesla chargers and enable users to charge via the BMW app with any service, like EVgo or ChargePoint or whatever. Here’s hoping they roll this out ASAP. Fingers crossed!

That's normal. The lower the battery is, the faster the charging speed. And once it is close to max, it slows down a bit. Nothing to worry about.

Do you find that the slower charging speed affects your trips, or is the 20-30 minute window enough for you?

Tesla has two main types of chargers: Superchargers and those for hotels/stores. Superchargers are super fast, but my BMW can't really use most of them. I'd be limited to these special "magic dock" spots that are only shown in the Tesla app, and there aren't many of those around yet

Magic Dock, impressive, eh? I've heard mixed reviews. I'm glad it was a good experience for you. The slowdown at the end is a bit concernng, though. I wonder if it's charger-specific or a general issue. Did you try other Superchargers to compare? As for BMW integratng them into their maps, I'd be surprised if they didn't eventually. But with these things, you never know. I'd keep an eye on official announcements from BMW

Magic Dock is really impressive! I haven't had the chance to try out other Superchargers yet but I plan to do so for comparison. I agree about the BMW maps let's hope they add that feature soon
