I’ve been driving my i5 M60 for about a year now, and while the driving experience is fantastic, I’ve had some ongoing frustrations with the tech side of things.

Charging schedules: I’ve set the car to charge during off-peak hours (10 PM to 8 AM) with a departure time configured, but it’s completely hit or miss. Some mornings it’s ready to go, but other times it hasn’t charged at all. Has anyone else struggled with getting the BMW app or charging system to work consistently?

Radio issues: Another oddity, while driving, the radio will randomly change stations without me doing anything. It’s more annoying than anything but still not what I’d expect.

Regenerative braking: The regen braking will ramp up to a much higher resistance than normal and I’m not sure why. It doesn’t feel consistent or predictable.

I love how the car drives, but I expected better refinement from BMW when it comes to these tech features. Has anyone else run into similar issues or found fixes for these quirks?

It’s great to hear you’re loving the drive but those tech issues are definitely not what you’d expect from a BMW. The charging schedule inconsistency is something I’ve seen mentioned before resetting the app or updating the firmware might help. Regen braking changes could be due to battery health or weather conditions but the radio randomly changing stations? That’s a new one!

Sorry to hear you've been facing these issues. Regarding the regen braking, is it something that's happening regularly? Have you had the car checked out yet?
